New scan could sharpen targeting of breast cancer brain spread

NCT ID NCT06072807

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to improve how doctors find and treat breast cancer that has spread to the brain. Twenty adults with ER-positive breast cancer and brain tumors will get an extra PET scan (FES PET/CT) before their standard radiation planning. Researchers will compare this scan with usual MRI to see if it helps better target treatment. The goal is to optimize imaging for more precise radiation.
