New drug BP1.4979 aims to calm shaky hands

Summary
This study tests if a new drug called BP1.4979 can reduce tremors in adults with essential tremor, a condition causing uncontrollable shaking. About 50 participants will take either the drug or a placebo twice daily for 4 weeks. Researchers will check tremor severity and safety through clinic visits and weekly diaries.
