First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at whether injecting botulinum toxin into two leg muscles (rectus femoris and semitendinosus) can improve walking and reduce stiffness in children with cerebral palsy. Twenty-three children aged 7 to 17 who could walk (with or without aids) took part. Researchers measured movement, stiffness, and walking ability before treatment and again at 2 and 6 months after injections.
