New transplant trial aims to cure Life-Threatening immune disorders

NCT ID NCT02579967

Summary

This study is testing whether a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant from a healthy donor can cure people with severe primary immune deficiencies. The goal is to replace the patient's faulty immune system with a healthy one from a donor. Researchers are enrolling 354 patients, aged 4 to 75, who have a history of serious infections or immune-related health problems to see if the transplant is safe and effective.
