First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a stem cell transplant that removes certain immune cells to prevent graft-versus-host disease, a common complication. The goal is to help patients with inherited bone marrow failure recover their immune system faster and avoid severe infections. About 48 participants with conditions like Fanconi anemia or severe aplastic anemia will be enrolled. The approach aims to reduce the need for long-term immune-suppressing medication.
