New program aims to ease burden for advanced cancer patients and families

Summary
This study is testing a new telehealth support program called BOLSTER for people with advanced gastrointestinal or gynecologic cancers who have complex care needs, like feeding tubes or drains. The program aims to improve patients' quality of life, ease symptoms, and reduce the burden on their family caregivers. About 600 people (300 patient-caregiver pairs) will participate in the 12-week study to see if the program helps.
