Common pill tested to tame stubborn blood pressure in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07271420

Summary

This study is testing if adding a common water pill (a thiazide diuretic) helps lower high blood pressure in people receiving peritoneal dialysis for kidney failure. It involves 40 patients who will take the pill for 90 days, then stop for a period, to compare the effects. The main goal is to see if this medication safely improves blood pressure control in this specific group.
