First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether raising or lowering blood pressure after aneurysm repair improves outcomes in people with a brain bleed. 750 adults who had surgery within 72 hours will be randomly assigned to different blood pressure targets. Their recovery will be tracked for 6 months using a standard disability scale.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
blood pressure management (raising or lowering via fluids and medications)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could establish a simple blood pressure target to improve recovery after aneurysm repair for brain bleed patients.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with no phase designation, so results are uncertain. Raising blood pressure may also increase the risk of re-bleeding or other complications.
