New test aims to predict dangerous bleeds in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06386107

Summary

This study is looking for a better way to predict which cancer patients might have serious bleeding while taking blood thinners for a clot. Researchers will measure a specific blood test (thrombin generation) in 212 patients with cancer and a recent blood clot. They will see if the test results are linked to the patient's risk of bleeding over the next six months of treatment.
