NCT ID NCT07475806

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This phase 2 trial tests whether a combination of enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab can help people with muscle-invasive bladder cancer avoid bladder removal. About 240 adults who are candidates for surgery will receive the drugs intravenously. The main goals are to see how many achieve a complete response and keep their bladder for at least 2 years.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a way to treat muscle-invasive bladder cancer without removing the bladder, preserving quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a mid-stage trial with no control group, so results are uncertain. The treatment may not work for everyone, and side effects like nerve damage or uncontrolled diabetes could occur.
