Can a probiotic wash prevent bladder infections in spinal cord injury?

NCT ID NCT07643974

First seen Jun 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving antibiotics followed by a probiotic directly into the bladder can help good bacteria grow and stay there longer in people with spinal cord injury and neurogenic bladder. About 48 adults will receive different timing schedules of gentamicin and Lactobacillus washes. The goal is to see which schedule works best and how long the good bacteria last.
