New biomarkers could predict arthritis flares in kids
NCT ID NCT07356804
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two newer blood markers (calprotectin and serum amyloid protein) can help doctors monitor disease activity in children with inflammatory rheumatic diseases like juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Researchers measured these alongside standard markers in 20 children over time. The goal was to see if these markers could be useful in everyday clinic visits to detect or predict flare-ups.
