First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a therapy called Targeted Cognitive Training (TCT) for veterans with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or PTSD. TCT uses computer exercises to improve how the brain processes basic sensory information, which may help thinking, daily function, and symptoms. Researchers will use EEG brainwave tests to identify which veterans are most likely to benefit. The goal is to improve care and quality of life for veterans in VA rehabilitation programs.
