First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of heart stent made from magnesium that slowly dissolves over time, compared to a permanent metal stent. The goal is to see if the dissolvable stent is safe and works as well for people with blocked heart arteries. About 1,859 adults with coronary artery disease will take part, and researchers will track heart-related events for one year.
