Can a prostate drug slow bladder cancer? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05521698

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether bicalutamide, a drug typically used for prostate cancer, can change a protein linked to bladder cancer growth. About 80 adult men with non-invasive bladder cancer will either receive the drug or no study drug. The goal is to see if the drug affects EGFR protein levels, not to treat the cancer directly.
