New drug shows promise for Tough-to-Treat ulcerative colitis

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called BI 3032950 in 80 adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who haven't responded to other treatments. The medicine is first given through a vein every 4 weeks, then as a shot under the skin for up to 2 years. Doctors will check if symptoms improve using stool, blood, and camera exams.
