First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026

Summary

This study compares two exercise programs using blood flow restriction (a cuff that lightly squeezes the leg) to reduce knee pain and improve strength in athletes with patellofemoral pain syndrome. About 48 athletes aged 18-40 will do either leg presses or stationary cycling with the cuff for 8 weeks. The goal is to see which method better eases pain and helps them return to activity.
