NCT ID NCT03490240
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a 6-month online program designed to help people with multiple sclerosis become more physically active. Participants receive interactive video lessons, a step tracker, and one-on-one video chats with a coach. The goal is to see if the program increases daily activity and improves walking, thinking, fatigue, and quality of life compared to a control group. The trial involves 280 adults with MS who are not currently active.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
online behavioral intervention with video courses, step tracking, and coaching
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a practical, home-based way for people with MS to become more active, potentially improving walking, thinking, and overall well-being.
What could go wrong
This is a behavioral study, not a drug trial, so effects may be modest. The program requires internet access and motivation, and results may not apply to everyone with MS.
