First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether taking 20 grams of beetroot powder daily for a week can help lower blood pressure in men with hypertension who are already on medication. Sixty men will be randomly assigned to either take the powder or continue their usual treatment, then switch after a week. The goal is to see if the nitrates in beetroot can improve blood vessel function and further reduce blood pressure.
