Summary
This study tested whether a daily capsule of betalains from red beetroot can improve blood vessel function, sleep, and quality of life in healthy adults aged 40 to 65. Forty-two participants took either the betalain supplement or a placebo for one month, then switched. Researchers measured blood vessel flexibility, blood pressure, and sleep using a fitness tracker and questionnaires.
