First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a special balloon coated with sirolimus, a drug that helps keep arteries open, in 34 people with peripheral artery disease (narrowed leg arteries). The goal was to see if the balloon is safe and works well at improving blood flow and symptoms like leg pain. Participants had one or two blockages in their leg arteries and were followed for six months.
