Cheaper pill may work as well as costly shot for IVF success in endometriosis patients

NCT ID NCT07134920

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at 99 IVF patients with endometriosis (a condition where uterine-like tissue grows elsewhere) and a positive BCL6 test. It compared a cheap oral pill (norethindrone acetate) to an expensive injection (Depo Lupron) given before embryo transfer. The goal was to see if the pill works just as well for pregnancy and live birth rates, with fewer side effects and lower cost.
