First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether battlefield acupuncture can reduce pain and the need for pain medication in people hospitalized for exertional rhabdomyolysis, a condition where muscle breaks down after extreme exercise. About 36 patients will choose either standard pain treatment or standard treatment plus acupuncture. Researchers will track pain scores and medication use during the hospital stay.
