Summary

This study tests whether battlefield acupuncture can reduce pain and the need for pain medication in people hospitalized for exertional rhabdomyolysis, a condition where muscle breaks down after extreme exercise. About 36 adults who choose the treatment will have their pain levels and medication use compared to those who decline it. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach improves comfort during recovery.
