First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests if inflating a small balloon in the stomach outlet during surgery can prevent delayed stomach emptying, a common problem after pancreatic tumor removal. About 70 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to get the balloon procedure or standard surgery. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces nausea, vomiting, and hospital stay.
