Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called AZD4144 in 124 adults with sepsis who have also developed acute kidney injury. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo daily by IV while in the hospital. The main goal is to see if the drug helps maintain kidney function better than placebo. Researchers will also track how many days patients stay alive and free from dialysis.
