New drug targets weakness in BRCA cancer cells
NCT ID NCT04439227
Summary
This study is testing whether the drug AZD1775 can shrink or stop the growth of advanced cancers that have specific genetic changes called BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations. The drug works by blocking a protein called WEE1 that these cancer cells may need to survive. The trial will involve about 35 patients with various advanced, hard-to-treat cancers who have these mutations.
