New drug combo aims to shrink rare sarcomas
NCT ID NCT05333458
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining atezolizumab (an immunotherapy) with selinexor (a drug that blocks a cancer-growth protein) can shrink tumors in people with advanced alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS), a rare cancer. About 27 adults whose cancer has spread or cannot be removed by surgery will receive the combination. The goal is to see if this approach works better than current standard treatments like radiation, chemotherapy, or other immunotherapies.
