Summary

This study tested whether adding augmented reality mirror therapy to standard physical and occupational therapy helps people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in the upper arm. CRPS causes long-lasting pain, swelling, and movement problems. Seven adults with CRPS for over 3 months tried the new therapy. Researchers measured hand function, pain severity, and quality of life to see if the virtual mirror treatment offered extra benefit.
