First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will test whether listening to an audiobook before total knee replacement surgery can lower patients' anxiety, blood pressure, and pulse rate. About 93 adults scheduled for elective knee replacement will be asked to use an audiobook app before their operation. Researchers will measure changes in anxiety scores, blood pressure, and pulse to see if this simple intervention helps patients feel more relaxed.
