NCT ID NCT07349550

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how thinking skills (like memory and focus) are linked to sick leave in people with depression or anxiety. Researchers will give metacognitive therapy with a work focus to 200 patients at risk of sick leave. They want to see if the therapy improves symptoms and helps people return to work.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward better ways to help people with depression or anxiety return to work by targeting cognitive difficulties.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study with only 200 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It is not testing a new drug or cure, and the therapy may not work for all.
