Summary

This study tested whether giving atropine, a drug that increases heart rate, could prevent dangerous heart rhythm disturbances in people having a specific type of heart attack (inferior ST-elevation myocardial infarction) during a procedure to open blocked arteries. The trial involved 158 participants and was completed. The goal was to see if atropine could reduce the risk of abnormal heart rhythms and low blood pressure during treatment.
