First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a small device called the Atrial Flow Regulator in 32 people with severe pulmonary hypertension, a condition where high blood pressure in the lungs makes the heart work too hard. The device is placed in the heart to create a small opening that helps relieve pressure and improve symptoms. The main goal was to see if the device was safe and worked well over the first year.
