First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at blood samples from 176 adults with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or psoriatic arthritis to understand why they have a higher risk of heart attacks. Researchers measured how cells handle cholesterol when exposed to patients' blood. They also tested whether certain drugs could improve cholesterol balance. The goal was to learn more about the link between autoimmune diseases and heart disease, not to provide a treatment.
