First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at a new type of oxygen device (asymmetrical high-flow nasal cannula) for patients recovering from heart surgery. About 63 adults who need extra oxygen after their breathing tube is removed will be randomly assigned to get the new device, a standard high-flow device, or a regular oxygen mask. The goal is to see if the new device helps them avoid needing more intensive breathing support.
