First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 40 times

Summary

This study tests whether a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (using heat to quiet pain nerves) can reduce chronic low back pain better than a fake procedure. About 300 adults with long-term back pain will be randomly assigned to one of two real ablation methods or a simulated procedure. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves daily function and reduces pain.
