Can a simple brochure get more patients into clinical trials?
NCT ID NCT07343297
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a brochure called ASQ-CT that helps patients ask their doctors better questions about clinical trials. About 293 adults with cancer, heart disease, or neurological conditions will use the brochure before a doctor visit. Researchers want to see if it makes patients more confident and increases trial participation.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Ask Questions about Clinical Trials brochure (a question prompt list)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could give doctors and hospitals a simple tool to help more patients learn about and join clinical trials.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early implementation study, not a treatment trial. The brochure may not change how many people actually join trials, and results may not apply to all settings.
