Simple arm position change could improve blood pressure checks in pregnancy

NCT ID NCT07405723

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how different arm positions change blood pressure readings in pregnant women. About 300 pregnant women will have their blood pressure taken with their arm in three positions: supported at heart level, on the lap, and hanging at the side. The goal is to find out which position gives the most accurate reading, which could help doctors better diagnose and manage high blood pressure during pregnancy.
