Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether breathing a mix of argon gas and oxygen soon after a cardiac arrest can reduce brain damage. Researchers will enroll 120 comatose patients who were resuscitated from a witnessed cardiac arrest. The main goal is to see if argon lowers a brain injury marker in the blood, with additional checks on heart damage, brain scans, and survival.
