Noble gas tested to save brains after heart stops

Summary
This study is testing whether adding argon gas to oxygen during ventilation can help protect the brain and heart in people who have been successfully resuscitated from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The goal is to see if this treatment reduces brain damage and improves survival and recovery. The trial will enroll 120 patients who will receive either the argon-oxygen mixture or standard oxygen for four hours after their heart is restarted.
