Summary

This study is a 5-year extension that follows people who were in the original AREDS or AREDS2 studies. The goal is to observe how age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts naturally progress over time. Participants get a yearly eye exam and a phone check-in. No new treatments are tested—just careful monitoring.
