New hope for kids with aggressive brain cancer: early trial tests novel immune therapy

NCT ID NCT03389802

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new antibody drug called APX005M in children and young adults with brain tumors that have come back or are not responding to treatment, or with a newly diagnosed aggressive brain stem glioma. The main goal is to find the safest dose and understand the side effects. The drug is designed to activate the body's immune system to potentially fight the cancer cells.
