First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with anorexia nervosa can learn to associate positive feelings with food-related cues. Researchers will measure brain activity, heart rate, and pupil responses in 90 female participants aged 12-22 to understand how reward learning works and whether these positive associations last over time. The goal is to uncover the brain mechanisms behind the lack of pleasure from eating in anorexia.
