First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called AON-D21 in 150 ICU patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia. The goal was to see if adding AON-D21 to standard care is safe and helps patients recover faster compared to a placebo. The trial is now complete, and results will show whether the drug reduces the need for breathing support and improves outcomes.
