Dental bone graft study reveals hidden immune reactions
NCT ID NCT07474857
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether bone grafts used before dental implants cause the body to make antibodies against the graft. Twenty healthy adults needing bone repair received either animal or human donor bone, and half also got laser therapy to help healing. Researchers measured antibodies in the blood and checked bone growth with scans and tissue samples to see how the grafts affected the immune system and healing.
