Summary

This study tested a new, more detailed method (high-resolution manometry) to measure anal muscle function in 60 people—some with fecal incontinence and some healthy. The goal was to see if this method gives better information than older techniques. The study is complete and focused on understanding muscle squeezing and resting pressure.
