Summary
This study will use a thin, pressure-sensitive probe (anorectal manometry) to measure how the muscles and nerves in a child's bottom work. The goal is to find specific problems, like poor muscle coordination or reduced sensation, in 54 children aged 4-18 with chronic constipation that hasn't improved with standard treatments. The results may help doctors choose more targeted therapies, such as biofeedback or injections, to improve bowel function.
