New drug tested to stabilize blood pressure and protect kidneys during risky liver transplants
NCT ID NCT04901169
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a blood pressure medication called Angiotensin II to standard care helps during liver transplant surgery. It aims to see if the drug helps control dangerously low blood pressure more effectively and reduces the need for other strong medications, which might help protect the kidneys. The trial includes 50 adults with severe liver disease who need high doses of standard blood pressure support during their transplant.
