Blood markers may forecast arthritis severity in kids

NCT ID NCT05534347

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain proteins in the blood can help predict how severe juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) will become. Researchers will measure these markers in 300 teenagers and young adults with JIA and track their joint damage and treatments over time. The goal is to find a way to identify which patients need stronger treatment earlier, potentially preventing long-term joint damage.
