Summary
This study looked at 255 adults aged 75 and older who had surgery for a broken hip. Researchers wanted to see if having low red blood cells (anemia) soon after surgery was linked to losing the ability to do daily tasks like bathing or dressing over the next 6 months. The goal was to better understand recovery patterns in very elderly patients.
