Amniotic membrane patch may speed healing of bedsores
NCT ID NCT07126886
First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single-layer amniotic membrane placed on nonhealing pressure ulcers helps them close faster than standard wound care alone. About 100 adults with stage 3 or 4 pressure sores on the trunk will be followed for 20 weeks. The main goal is to see if more wounds fully close with the membrane treatment.
