Can fatty acids beat standard dressings to stop bedsores in prone patients?

NCT ID NCT05198167

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a fatty acid spray works better than standard sticky dressings to prevent pressure ulcers (bedsores) in critically ill patients who must lie face down. About 262 ICU patients will be randomly assigned to one of the two prevention methods. The goal is to find which approach reduces sores and complications more effectively.
